How to use the Overtime Calculator
- Enter your hourly rate (or your monthly salary below).
- Enter the hours worked this week — 48 or 47:30 both work.
- Read regular pay, overtime pay and the total; change the multiplier for double time (2).
How to calculate overtime pay
Overtime pay = overtime hours × hourly rate × 1.5. For 50 hours at $20: 40 × $20 = $800 regular, 10 × $30 = $300 overtime, $1,100.00 in total.
Time and a half for a $20 rate is $30 an hour; double time is $40.
